UNIT Studios Recruits Longform VFX Producer Angus Berryman from JAM VFX

UNIT Studios has recently announced the appointment of Angus Berryman, formerly of JAM VFX, as their new Longform VFX Producer. Berryman’s role will involve spearheading upcoming film and television projects at the studio, augmenting their recent accomplishments which include providing comprehensive picture post-production services for esteemed productions like The Tourist season 2, Grantchester, VERA, and the upcoming BBC series This Town, created by Steven Knight.

With a notable five-year tenure at JAM VFX, Berryman brings with him a wealth of experience garnered from a diverse array of film and television endeavors. His portfolio includes contributions to prominent titles such as Detectorists (BBC), Sexy Beast (Paramount+), Somewhere Boy (Netflix), Without Sin (ITV), and Worzel Gummidge (BBC), among others. Notably, his involvement in projects like The Portrait, nominated for the 2023 Best UK Feature at Raindance, underscores his prowess within the industry.

Berryman’s clientele roster boasts major industry players like Netflix, Paramount+, BBC, ITV, Sky, Left Bank Pictures, Clerkenwell Films, and Amazon Prime, attesting to his established rapport and credibility within the field.

Expressing his enthusiasm for his new role, Berryman stated, “I’m excited to be joining UNIT at such an exciting moment for the studio. I was drawn to the brilliant culture they have built alongside the beautiful and impressive work.”

In welcoming Berryman to the team, Louise Stevenson, UNIT’s Head of Film & TV, emphasized his affable personality and expertise, affirming his fit within the studio’s dynamic. Stevenson remarked, “Our run of high-profile Film and TV projects is set to continue this year, and we welcome Angus’ experience across VFX Production to ensure smooth running and high creative delivery.”

Amanda Luckwell, Co-Founder of UNIT, echoed Stevenson’s sentiments, highlighting Berryman’s alignment with the studio’s ethos of combining expertise with a personable demeanor. “As we continue our expansion in the Film & TV team, bringing together some of the industry’s best talent, we look forward to sharing more creative highlights throughout the year,” Luckwell remarked.

With Berryman’s appointment signaling UNIT’s commitment to bolstering its Longform VFX division, the studio anticipates further success in delivering top-tier visual effects services for an array of esteemed projects, promising an exciting trajectory ahead.
