“Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool Anniversary Video is a 32-Second Frenzy—But Fans Noticed One Big Omission!”

A decade of wisecracks, fourth-wall breaks, and R-rated mayhem? That’s worth celebrating! Ryan Reynolds marked the 10th anniversary of Deadpool with a new video that speeds through the entire franchise in just 32 seconds—because, as he put it, “A decade really zips by.”

The Ultimate Deadpool Supercut… in Fast-Forward

Reynolds shared the video on X, showcasing moments from Deadpool, Deadpool 2, and Deadpool & Wolverine at lightning speed. But keen-eyed fans noticed something missing: no footage from X-Men Origins: Wolverine, the film that first introduced Reynolds’ take on Wade Wilson—albeit in a much less, uh, Deadpool-y form. However, the video does end on a nostalgic note, featuring the original Deadpool test footage that leaked online in 2014 and helped make the first movie a reality.

Deadpool’s Box Office Domination

Since his official debut in 2016, Deadpool has been box office gold. The first film, directed by Tim Miller, smashed expectations, grossing over $750 million globally and setting records as the highest-grossing R-rated film—though it was eventually surpassed by its own sequels, Joker (2019), and Oppenheimer (2023).

The franchise kept the momentum going with Deadpool 2 (2018), helmed by David Leitch, before Deadpool & Wolverine brought the Merc with a Mouth into the MCU in 2024. Now, fans are eagerly speculating about where Wade Wilson will pop up next.

What’s Next for Deadpool?

Despite Deadpool’s massive success, Reynolds remains tight-lipped about the future of the character. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter in December 2024, he hinted that a fourth solo film might not be in the cards, suggesting that Deadpool thrives best in ensemble roles rather than as a leading act.

“Deadpool works best if you take everything away from him and put his back against the wall,” Reynolds explained. “I can’t really do that again. A fourth time feels a little iterative and redundant. That doesn’t mean sacrificing fun. There is still an arc for Deadpool that is fulfilling and powerful.”

Where to Watch the Deadpool Saga

Whether you’re a longtime fan or looking to catch up on the madness, all three Deadpool films—Deadpool, Deadpool 2, and Deadpool & Wolverine—are currently available to stream on Disney+.

With a decade under his belt and the MCU now in his sights, it’s safe to say that Deadpool isn’t done breaking the fourth wall just yet!
