Disney’s Mufasa: The Lion King is still basking in its box-office glory, having clawed its way into the Top 10 highest-grossing films of 2024 with a massive $689 million worldwide haul. What’s the Story?
Told through flashbacks, Mufasa: The Lion King unveils the incredible rise of the Pride Lands’ legendary ruler. The story follows Mufasa as an orphaned cub, lost and alone—until he crosses paths with Taka, the heir to a royal bloodline (spoiler alert: that’s Scar before his villain era). The two set off on an adventure filled with destiny, danger, and unexpected friendships, all while evading a deadly enemy determined to destroy them.
