In an exciting development for fans of Indian comics and animation, Zebu Animation Studios has announced a partnership with Tinkle to bring two beloved characters, Suppandi and Wingstar, into the animated realm.

The collaboration was revealed through a social media post by Preeti Vyas, CEO and president of Amar Chitra Katha, expressing her enthusiasm for the upcoming animated avatars of the iconic characters. Joining hands with Zebu Animation Studios, renowned for their creative endeavors, promises to deliver a magical experience for audiences.

According to Veerendra Patil, founder and creative director of Zebu Animation Studios, the opportunity to translate the essence of Suppandi into animation was irresistible due to the character’s rich legacy. Suppandi, known for his humorous encounters with life’s unpredictabilities, has long captivated audiences with his simplistic yet endearing antics.

In addition to Suppandi, the collaboration will also bring to life Wingstar, the Indian female superhero introduced by Amar Chitra Katha in 2017. Wingstar, the alter ego of 13-year-old Mapui Kawlim, embodies courage, ingenuity, and a dash of sass as she fights crime with her inventor father’s gadgets and her mother’s martial arts training.

Gayathri Chandrashekharan, editor-in-chief of Tinkle, expressed excitement over Zebu Animation Studios taking up the licensing for Suppandi and Wingstar, highlighting the shared passion for the timeless Tinkle characters.

The collaboration between Zebu Animation Studios and Tinkle is not the first venture into animation for Suppandi. Previously, ACK Media’s IP Suppandi Suppandi! was developed into an animated TV series with 26 episodes, airing on POGO and Cartoon Network in February 2013.

With this new collaboration, fans eagerly anticipate the animated adventures of Suppandi and Wingstar, bridging generations and bringing cherished characters to life in a fresh and dynamic format.

Stay tuned for further updates on this exciting collaboration between Zebu Animation Studios and Tinkle as they work to enchant audiences with the animated exploits of Suppandi and Wingstar.
