Virtus.pro Claims Victory at Marvel Rivals Invitational 2025 EMEA

The Marvel Rivals Invitational 2025 EMEA has officially crowned its champion, with Virtus.pro (VP) emerging victorious after a thrilling showdown against Team OG (OG) in the grand finals. VP’s impressive 4-2 win secured them the top prize of $40,000 (~£31,058) and solidified their dominance in the competitive Marvel Rivals scene.

A Grand Final Worthy of the Hype

The road to victory wasn’t easy, but VP showcased impeccable skill and strategy throughout the tournament. The grand final match was a battle of titans, as VP and OG fought through multiple stages to reach the climactic face-off.

The final match kicked off with both teams delivering high-intensity gameplay, proving their worth on the battlefield. Each game in the best-of-seven series saw intense back-and-forth action:

  • Game 1: VP takes first blood with a 2-1 win on Convoy, Spider-Islands.
  • Game 2: OG strikes back, securing a 1-2 victory in Domination, Hell’s Heaven.
  • Game 3: VP regains control with a 2-1 win on Convoy, Yggdrassil Path.
  • Game 4: OG evens the score again with a 1-2 win in Domination, Royal Palace.
  • Game 5: VP edges ahead with a 2-1 victory on Convoy, Midtown.
  • Game 6: VP seals the championship with a dominant 2-0 win in Domination, Birnin T’Challa.

VP’s success was driven by their star players, with Finnbjörn “Finnsi” Jónasson standing out as the tournament MVP. Playing as Doctor Strange and Magneto, Finnsi played a crucial role in securing VP’s victory.

VP’s Andreas “Nevix” Karlsson, a Swedish Vanguard player, praised his team’s ability to stay calm under pressure, stating: “Eventually, you’re going to get some competition, you’re going to get challenged, and you just have to lock in, be calm, stay focused. I think that’s what we did today.”
