Unified Pictures has announced a partnership with ReDefine Animation, a division of the DNEG Group, to bring the latest animated feature, The Ark and the Aardvark, to life. The film is directed by John Stevenson, co-director of the popular Kung Fu Panda franchise.
ReDefine Animation, known for its work on last year’s critically acclaimed Nimona, which received an Academy Award nomination for Best Animated Feature, and the upcoming Garfield Movie, will be handling the animation for the project. This collaboration marks another significant achievement for the DNEG Group, a leading visual effects company based in London.
DNEG recently secured $200 million in funding from the United Al Saqer Group, a venture capital firm based in Abu Dhabi. The investment will support IP development, the establishment of a new production studio in Abu Dhabi, and the launch of a new division focused on AI technology.
