Top Draw Animation (TDA), a prominent provider of premium 2D animation production services and a distinguished division of Grom Social Enterprises Inc. (NASDAQ: GROM), has appointed Cyrus Mistry, former VP of Technicolor’s Animation Games & Production (India), as its Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately. Mistry’s relocation from India to TDA’s state-of-the-art studio in Manila, Philippines, heralds a new chapter in the company’s pursuit of excellence in animation production.

The announcement of Mistry’s appointment was made by Darren Marks, CEO of Grom Social Enterprises, underlining the strategic significance of his leadership within TDA. Mistry, who initially joined TDA as a consultant, brings a wealth of experience in animation production and executive management to his new role. He will be responsible for overseeing the operations of TDA’s studio, which boasts a talented team of over 300 artists renowned for their commitment to quality.

With a career spanning over two decades, Mistry has established himself as a versatile leader with a passion for both the creative and business aspects of animation. Prior to joining TDA, he served as CEO of Rocksalt Interactive and held the position of Vice President of Production at Technicolor Animation & Games, India, where his stewardship led to the studio’s remarkable growth and garnered seven Emmy Awards for outstanding animation work.

TDA, acquired by Grom Social Enterprises in 2016, has been instrumental in delivering animated content to a global clientele, including industry giants like Nickelodeon, DreamWorks, Disney, and Warner Bros. Mistry’s appointment signals TDA’s commitment to maintaining its reputation as a leader in the animation production landscape, while also fostering strategic partnerships and expanding its portfolio.

In addition to this milestone, Grom Social Enterprises recently announced its intention to acquire Texas-based Arctic7, signaling its foray into the lucrative gaming market. With a focus on gaming for children, Arctic7 offers a suite of game development services and intellectual property development, aligning with Grom’s mission to provide safe entertainment options for kids. This strategic move underscores Grom’s vision to diversify its entertainment offerings and tap into new revenue streams within the gaming industry.

As TDA welcomes Cyrus Mistry into his new role as Chief Operating Officer, the company anticipates leveraging his expertise to further enhance its global footprint in animation production and solidify its position as a leader in the industry.
