Whole Grain Pictures, a division of MediaOCD, has officially announced that The Whitest Kids U Know: MARS—the adult animated feature from the iconic sketch comedy troupe—will be released as a deluxe collector’s edition Blu-ray in North America in early 2026, in collaboration with Synergetic for theatrical and VOD distribution.
Originally premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival’s Midnight section in June 2024, MARS follows Kyle, an ordinary dentist desperate to escape his life, who impulsively wins a chance to travel to Mars—leaving everything behind for a surreal, darkly comedic adventure. The project held special poignancy as the final creative endeavor of the troupe, with all dialogue from founding member Trevor Moore recorded before his untimely passing in 2021.
Whole Grain Pictures CEO Justin Sevakis commented, “Seeing their legacy endure over 20 years later… is beyond what I ever could have hoped for them. Giving their final project the care and time it deserves is one of the most important things I will ever do.
