Gosu Academy, a global leader in esports coaching and education, has announced its expansion into the UAE, aligning with the country’s efforts to become a global esports hub. This move comes as Dubai’s gaming industry is projected to contribute over $1 billion to the GDP by 2033, with the creation of 30,000 new jobs.

Gosu Academy’s entry into the UAE underscores its commitment to empowering individuals through world-class gaming education, complementing the UAE’s ambitious vision for esports. With over two decades of experience, the academy initially launched in the United States and Europe before expanding to Asia and the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia.

Co-Founder & Co-CEO F. Javier Bernal emphasized the strategic importance of the UAE market. “This region offers tremendous potential, and we are excited to contribute to its rapidly growing esports landscape. The Dubai Program for Gaming (DPG) 2033 aligns perfectly with our goals of job creation and innovation. Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi’s initiative to build an Esports Island showcases its unique approach to creating a global esports destination. We are committed to fostering new talent and solidifying the UAE’s position as a leader in the esports sector.”

Braeden Plein, Co-Founder & Co-CEO, added, “Our mission is to shape the future of gaming and esports by equipping individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary for success. The goals of DPG 2033, particularly the creation of 30,000 jobs, resonate deeply with our vision. We are dedicated to supporting this initiative by cultivating talent and providing career opportunities within the gaming industry.”

Gosu Academy’s expansion is also in line with the UAE’s Vision 2030, reflecting the nation’s dedication to diversifying its economy, fostering innovation, and creating a knowledge-based society. The academy offers personalized coaching, live online sessions, and flexible learning platforms that enhance its B2C operations. In addition, its partnerships with esports organizations, federations, and schools drive B2B initiatives, helping to train the next generation of professional players and esports enthusiasts. This comprehensive approach not only supports individual gamers but also contributes to the growth of the wider esports ecosystem.
