Gargoyles Meets Fantastic Four in New Comic Book Special – Release Date and Details Revealed

A thrilling new comic book special is on the horizon as the iconic Gargoyles and Fantastic Four are set to team up in a crossover event this fall. The upcoming comic, titled Gargoyles / Fantastic Four, will bring together two beloved families: the adventurous Fantastic Four and the secretive, fierce Gargoyles clan, both based in Manhattan but leading very different lives.
Gargoyles and Fantastic Four Comic

Plot Overview
In this exciting crossover, key members of the Gargoyles’ Manhattan clan are invited to the iconic Baxter Building for a peaceful tour, where they’ll meet with the Fantastic Four under much less chaotic circumstances than usual. However, their friendly encounter takes a dangerous turn when they are forced to unite against a deadly alliance of their most dangerous foes, including:

Coldsteel (the Gargoyle Yuri Topolov)
Annihilus, the intergalactic ruler

As the heroes work together to defeat their adversaries, the story will explore the themes of family and clan, as both teams discover common ground in their battles to protect the world.
Greg Weisman, the creator of Gargoyles, will serve as the writer for this special. He’s excited to blend the Gargoyles and Fantastic Four universes, saying, “It’s a thrill to get this opportunity to bring the first family of the Marvel Universe together with the Manhattan Clan. It feels right!”

Creative Team and Artwork
The comic’s art will be handled by George Kambadais, who has previously worked on the Gargoyles comics from Dynamite Entertainment. The letterer will be Jeff Eckleberry, also a familiar name to Gargoyles fans.
Three distinct covers for the comic will be provided by top artists:
Lucio Parrillo
Mark Bagley
Amanda Conner
These covers will help bring the epic crossover to life, offering fans a visually stunning look at the unlikely team-up.

Release Date & Sneak Peek
While the official release date for Gargoyles / Fantastic Four is yet to be confirmed, it is tentatively scheduled for release in October 2025.
However, eager fans won’t have to wait long for a preview of the comic! A more detailed sneak peek will be included in the upcoming Gargoyles: Demona #0, which will be offered as part of Free Comic Book Day 2025. This special comic will delve into an untold story of the iconic villainess Demona, offering fans an additional layer of storytelling while building excitement for the main crossover event.

What to Expect
This comic promises a unique blend of adventure, action, and heart, as the worlds of Gargoyles and Fantastic Four collide in an unexpected yet perfect crossover. The mix of family dynamics, superhero action, and dark villains will captivate long-time fans of both franchises and newcomers alike.
