Comedy Central has announced the premiere date for Everybody Still Hates Chris, an animated series inspired by the hit UPN/CW sitcom Everybody Hates Chris. The new show is set to debut on September 25th, and fans have been treated to a first look at the animated Rock family.

Everybody Still Hates Chris will continue to follow Chris Rock’s humorous recollections of his childhood in Brooklyn, much like the original live-action series that aired from 2005 to 2009. Chris Rock will once again narrate the show, bringing his signature wit and charm to the animated format. Tichina Arnold and Terry Crews are returning to voice Chris’ parents, Rochelle and Julius, while Tim Johnson Jr. steps in as the voice of young Chris. The cast also includes Terrence Little Gardenhigh and Ozioma Akagha as Chris’ siblings, Drew and Tonya, with Gunnar Sizemore voicing Greg, Chris’ best friend.

Produced by CBS Studios through its animation division, Eye Animation Productions, the series has been in development since 2021. Comedy Central officially ordered the series in 2022. The show is executive produced by Chris Rock, along with showrunner Sanjay Shah, Ali LeRoi, Michael Rotenberg, Dave Becky, and the team at Titmouse Animation Studio.

Everybody Still Hates Chris will join Comedy Central’s lineup of animated hits, including the long-running South Park and the recently renewed Digman!.
