Global audiences are set to embrace the heartwarming charm of “Silly Sundays,” the latest offering from acclaimed animation studio Cartoon Saloon. The 2D animated series, created by Nuria Gonzalez Blanco, made its debut on RTEJr in Ireland in July 2023 and is now captivating viewers in Latin America, the United States, and beyond.

“Silly Sundays” revolves around the adventures of three kids – Sonia, Hugo, and Mel – alongside their parents and Granny. Each episode, spanning 78 episodes of 7 minutes each, celebrates the simple joys of family life, highlighting the importance of cherishing precious moments together.

With a blend of humor and heartfelt storytelling, the series captures Sunday journeys filled with playful activities such as games, dancing, and cooking. Every episode concludes with a valuable lesson, enriching the viewing experience for upper preschoolers and their families.

Global distributor Superights has joined forces with Cartoon Saloon to bring “Silly Sundays” to international audiences. Deputy General Manager Nathalie Pinguet expressed enthusiasm for the series, citing its original graphic style and quality writing as key factors in its appeal.

“We are delighted to once again partner with the Superights team and excited to see the market launch of Silly Sundays at MIPTV,” commented Cartoon Saloon Managing Director Gerry Shirren. “Silly Sundays has been a labor of love for the production team at Cartoon Saloon over the last four years.”

The series’ journey began with an acclaimed pitch at Cartoon Forum, captivating audiences and setting the stage for its global success. Now, as “Silly Sundays” continues its rollout on platforms such as Cartoonito and Max/HBO Max, audiences worldwide have the opportunity to join in the delightful adventures of Sonia, Hugo, Mel, and their family.

MIPTV, running from April 8 to 10, marks the beginning of “Silly Sundays'” international promotion, as Superights showcases the series to broadcasters around the globe. With its heartwarming narratives and universal themes, “Silly Sundays” promises to captivate audiences of all ages, fostering a sense of joy and togetherness in every episode.
