Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub (RTIH) at Mayuri Tech Park, Mangalagiri—marking the start of a new era in the state’s entrepreneurship ecosystem. The launch was witnessed by Tata Sons Chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran and senior ministers including Nara Lokesh and TG Bharat.
RTIH employs a hub-and-spoke model, with the central hub in Amaravati, focusing on deep tech, AI, sustainability, and inclusive innovation. Five spoke centres have launched in Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Tirupati, Rajahmundry, and Anantapur.
At the Tirupati spoke, located at the International Institute of Digital Technologies (IIDT), strong industry-academia collaboration was highlighted—Adani serves as lead partner, with IIT Tirupati contributing as the knowledge partner.

Why It Matters for the Innovation Landscape
Feature | Implication |
---|---|
Decentralized Innovation | Provides startups and students across Andhra Pradesh easy access to incubation, skill development, and IPR support. |
Cross-Sector Focus | Emphasizes applicability across industries such as agritech, healthcare, defense, and deep tech. |
Inclusive Policy Vision | Aligns with Naidu’s mantra “One Family, One Entrepreneur,” aiming to nurture grassroots innovation. |
Global Benchmarking | Draws inspiration from innovation models in Israel, Finland, and the UK, while anchoring the hub in local context. |
CM Naidu reinforced RTIH’s purpose as a tribute to Ratan Tata’s legacy of humility and societal service. He stressed the importance of wealth generation for welfare and emphasized Amaravati’s transformation into an Innovation Valley, anchored by cutting-edge technologies like quantum computing and AI.
