“Cartoon Movie 2025: The Biggest Wins, Hottest Projects & Must-Watch Films!”

The curtains have closed on Cartoon Movie 2025, the premier event for European animated feature films, and what a spectacle it was! Hosted in the picturesque city of Bordeaux, this year’s edition showcased 55 diverse animated projects from 16 different countries, leaving attendees buzzing with excitement for the future of animation.

A Global Gathering of Animation Enthusiasts

The event welcomed 838 participants from 40 countries, proving once again that animation is a truly universal language. Among them were 251 buyers, 12.2% of whom were first-time attendees, and 455 companies eager to discover the next big thing in animation.

Demographics for this year’s attendees revealed an industry that is evolving towards inclusivity, with 57.7% men, 41.5% women, and 0.5% identifying as nonbinary.

From heartwarming family adventures to visually stunning fantasy epics, Cartoon Movie 2025 had something for everyone. Here are some of the most talked-about projects:

  • [Project Name 2] – An experimental animation style meets deeply emotional storytelling in this visually striking indie gem.
  • [Project Name 3] – A laugh-out-loud comedy that redefines what’s possible in family-friendly animation.

With European animation continuing to push creative boundaries, these films are set to captivate audiences worldwide in the coming years.

And the Award Goes To…

No festival is complete without recognizing excellence, and Cartoon Movie 2025 delivered plenty of accolades. Some of the big winners included:

  • Best Animated Feature – [Winning Project Name]
  • Best Direction – [Winning Director’s Name] for [Film Title]
  • Audience Award – [Fan-Favorite Film Title]

These standout films and their talented creators have set the bar high for the future of European animation.

Why Cartoon Movie Continues to Shine

Beyond the screenings and awards, Cartoon Movie serves as a vital networking hub, bringing together producers, directors, buyers, and distributors to forge collaborations that shape the animation industry. The event’s format, which allows films to secure financing and international partnerships at various stages of production, has played a crucial role in the success of many European animated hits.

Looking Ahead

As the 2025 edition of Cartoon Movie wraps up, one thing is clear—European animation is thriving, with fresh ideas, diverse storytelling, and groundbreaking artistry leading the charge. With new voices and bold visions emerging, the next wave of animated masterpieces is just around the corner.
