“Witch Watch Unveils Star-Studded English Cast – You Won’t Believe Who’s Playing Who!”

Anime fans, get ready for a spellbinding ride! The highly anticipated anime adaptation of Witch Watch, the beloved Weekly Shonen Jump manga, is conjuring up some serious excitement. Mainichi Broadcasting System, Inc. (MBS) has just unveiled the English voice cast, and let’s just say—it’s a magical dream team!

Meet the Mystical Cast

Bringing the whimsical and wacky world of Witch Watch to life are some top-tier voice actors, each ready to sprinkle their own brand of charm onto this supernatural rom-com.

Leading the cast is popular content creator, artist, and voice actress Lily Ki (Lilypichu) as the bubbly teenage witch, Nico Wakatsuki. Joining her as her steadfast and long-suffering ogre familiar Morihito Otogi is Stephen Fu (My Love Story With Yamada-kun at Lv999, Mashle: Magic and Muscles).

Rounding out the gang of magical misfits are:

  • Caleb Yen (Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway) as the quick-witted wind spirit, Kanshi Kazamatsuri
  • Kevin K Gomez (The Prince of Tennis) as the eccentric cinephile Keigo Magami
  • Cristina Vee (Sailor Moon) as the enigmatic cat-loving witch Nemu Miyao
  • Kyle Hebert, the legendary voice behind many anime dads, steps in as Reiji Otogi, Morihito’s ogre father

Casting Spells and Dropping Comments

The excitement is palpable, and the cast themselves can’t wait to dive into this fantastical world. Here’s what they had to say:

  • “I am so happy to be part of the Witch Watch cast! It’s such a cute, quirky little show and I hope everyone loves it.” — Lily Ki (Nico)
  • “I’m really excited and honored to be joining the cast for some magical shenanigans on this fun show!” — Stephen Fu (Morihito)
  • “I’m kind of obsessed with magic stuff, so getting to be a part of the Witch Watch team is so freaking fun.” — Caleb Yen (Kanshi)
  • “Keigo and I both love arthouse films, so this role was a hilarious match. Can’t wait for the chaos to unfold!” — Kevin K Gomez (Keigo)
  • “As a self-proclaimed witch and avid cat lover, I’m so excited to join the cast of Witch Watch as Nemu!” — Cristina Vee (Nemu)
  • “I’ve always been happy to voice many anime dads through the years, but being an ogre is a first.” — Kyle Hebert (Reiji)

What’s Witch Watch About?

Based on Kenta Shinohara’s (SKET Dance) hit manga, Witch Watch follows teenage witch Nico Wakatsuki as she moves in with her childhood friend and newly appointed familiar, Morihito Otogi. The catch? Morihito is an ogre tasked with protecting Nico from a dark prophecy. With magical training gone awry and mystical hijinks at every turn, this laugh-out-loud rom-com promises endless enchantment and entertainment.

Serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump, the manga has already bewitched readers, boasting a circulation of over 3 million copies. Now, the anime adaptation is set to bring the same magic to screens worldwide.

Where and When to Watch

Before the anime officially drops, fans can catch an exclusive global theatrical premiere event—aptly named Witch Watch: Watch Party. Here’s where and when you can join the fun:

  • North America: March 16 (GKIDS)
  • Asia: March 18 (Tropics)
  • Europe: March (ADN, select countries)
  • Korea: March 21 (Aniplus)

Streaming platforms for the show include Crunchyroll, Hulu, Netflix, ADN, Aniplus, and Tropics, with the series officially launching this April.

So, anime lovers, mark your calendars and get ready for a magical misadventure! Whether you’re a fan of wacky rom-coms or just enjoy a good dose of supernatural shenanigans, Witch Watch is sure to cast a spell on you.
