“Alma’s Way Season 3: More Music, More Magic, and Must-Watch Moments on PBS KIDS!”

Great news for young viewers and parents alike! Alma’s Way, the Emmy-nominated animated series on PBS KIDS, is officially returning for a third season. Created by the legendary Sonia Manzano (Maria from Sesame Street), this heartwarming show continues to celebrate critical thinking, culture, and community—all wrapped up in fun, relatable adventures.

What to Expect in Season 3

This season, Alma’s Way brings 15 brand-new half-hour episodes, including a 22-minute musical special titled “Alma in Oz”, inspired by The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. The show remains committed to delivering engaging stories that reflect the diverse experiences of children, with lessons on problem-solving, self-advocacy, and responsible decision-making.

Fans can look forward to more of the sights and sounds of New York City, including stops at the New York Public Library, the 6 train, and a return visit to the American Museum of Natural History. The season will also tackle important themes such as dealing with the loss of a beloved neighbor, learning to regulate emotions, and supporting friends through difficult situations—all in a way that kids can understand and relate to.

Why Kids (and Parents) Love ‘Alma’s Way’

Created in partnership with Fred Rogers Productions and Pipeline Studios, Alma’s Way is designed to help kids think for themselves and celebrate their heritage. With an emphasis on Latino culture through music, food, language, and traditions, the series ensures that children see themselves reflected in the stories they watch.

“It’s so important that kids know they matter and for them to see themselves reflected in the characters on screen,” said Sonia Manzano. “I’m honored to work with Fred Rogers Productions, PBS KIDS, and Pipeline Studios to help achieve this goal the ‘Alma way!’”

Bigger, Better, and More Interactive

Excitingly, Alma’s Way isn’t just growing on TV—it’s expanding into the digital world too! Two new interactive games will be added to the PBS KIDS Games app and pbskids.org, making learning even more fun. One of these new games is designed for accessible play, ensuring that children of all abilities can enjoy and engage with Alma’s Way.

The existing Alma’s Way games, including Alma on the Case and Dominoes, have already racked up more than 30 million plays (per Google Analytics, Sept. 2023 – Dec. 2024), proving just how much kids love playing and learning alongside Alma.

Meet the Talented Team Behind the Show

The creative force behind Alma’s Way continues to bring fresh stories and perspectives to the screen. With Ellen Doherty serving as the executive producer, the team includes head writer Jorge Aguirre (Goldie & Bear), and co-executive producers Luis Lopez and Juan Lopez.

Additionally, Season 3 will feature episodes written by fellows from the Fred Rogers Productions’ Writers’ Neighborhood, a mentorship program dedicated to developing new and diverse voices in children’s media.

The Alma Effect: More Than Just a Show

PBS KIDS and Fred Rogers Productions are dedicated to making Alma’s Way a valuable tool for families, encouraging kids to think critically, make smart choices, and be proud of who they are.

“We are thrilled that viewers will continue to learn alongside Alma and her friends in Season 3,” said Ellen Doherty, Chief Creative Officer for Fred Rogers Productions. “Whatever the dilemma may be, Alma models how to think things through with kindness, optimism, and self-confidence.”

When and Where to Watch

All episodes of Alma’s Way are available in English and Spanish, ensuring accessibility for a wider audience. Stay tuned for the premiere of Season 3 on PBS KIDS and catch up on past episodes anytime on the PBS KIDS Video app or pbskids.org.

With more adventures, more music, and more learning, Season 3 of Alma’s Way promises to be the most exciting yet! Get ready for another season of fun, friendship, and problem-solving—the Alma way!
