In a groundbreaking move for the post-production industry, Atmos, a new cloud-based VFX and animation studio, has officially launched. Spearheaded by the esteemed post-production specialist Andreas Wanda, Atmos aims to redefine the landscape of visual effects and animation services for broadcast, film, television, and online content.

Utilizing the power of the cloud, Atmos offers fully remote-based post-production solutions, enabling artists to work from any location with unprecedented flexibility. Under the leadership of Wanda, Atmos has already successfully executed numerous high-profile campaigns, including MLA’s ‘Generation Gap,’ Toyota’s ‘Barry Believes,’ and The Iconic’s ‘Got You Looking.’

One of the key features of Atmos is its ability to assemble a regular stable of artists while also bringing together specialists tailored to the unique requirements of each project. This agile approach allows for cost-effective and visually striking solutions, as highlighted by Wanda: “We work closely with producers, directors, and creatives to find the most cost-effective and visually striking approach to any given project.”

Wanda, who boasts a wealth of experience working with high-profile directors, has been instrumental in architecting several pipelines and studios. Notably, he recently designed a studio entirely in the cloud for the feature film ‘My Freaky Family.’

In a bid to foster more flexible cloud-based collaborations across the industry, Atmos has introduced Atmos Studios Launcher. This innovative software, freely available to studios and artists, streamlines remote work by seamlessly integrating cloud-synced projects and pipeline tools. Wanda emphasizes the significance of this development: “Launcher overcomes obstacles associated with unique environments and storage paths, ensuring customizability and efficiency on a per-project level.”

With the launch of Atmos and the introduction of Atmos Studios Launcher, the industry is poised for a paradigm shift towards more flexible and nimble post-production workflows. As Wanda aptly puts it, “Ideally, we’d like to see the industry become more flexible and nimble utilising the myriad of cloud-based solutions available.”
