The Mukta Arts Ltd and Green Gold Animation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly develop animated shows and feature films based on Mukta Arts’ iconic film library.
Under the partnership, both studios will adapt classic films like Kalicharan, Karz, Hero, Ram Lakhan, Khalnayak, Saudagar and Iqbal into new animated IPs, including character-focused spin-offs that expand the original story worlds. Creative teams from both companies have already started discussions, with the first animated project currently in development.
This collaboration marks a key step in Mukta Arts’ push into animation through its dedicated SGM Animation Studio, launched in 2025 to produce animated shows, films, comic books and games inspired by its four-decade storytelling legacy. Green Gold Animation brings decades of experience in building successful character-driven franchises, such as the globally popular Chhota Bheem universe.
Both partners say the move aims to bring timeless stories to young and global audiences by reimagining beloved classics in a fresh animated format.
