Prime Video Acquires Helluva Boss with New Seasons, Expanding the Hellaverse
At LVL UP Expo, Prime Video officially announced it has acquired the wildly popular adult animated web series Helluva Boss, bringing the indie hit further into the mainstream. The platform has picked up the series for Seasons 3 and 4, while also signing a first-look deal with the show’s creator and executive producer Vivienne Medrano (Hazbin Hotel).
Major Deal Highlights:
Seasons 1 & 2 of Helluva Boss will debut on Prime Video in Fall 2025 — but will continue to remain available on YouTube.
Seasons 3 and 4 will have an exclusive window on Prime Video before any wider release.
The show will be available to stream in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
Medrano’s new first-look deal with Prime Video paves the way for even more Hellaverse expansion.
The announcement was accompanied by a special animated teaser featuring characters from Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel, confirming officially that both series are set in the same interconnected universe.
Vivienne Medrano’s Reaction:
“I am so grateful to Prime Video for their continued support of our work on Hazbin Hotel and for allowing our team at Spindlehorse to expand The Hellaverse by embracing Helluva Boss. I’m so excited for what this means for the continued rise of indie animation! It’s a dream come true to be able to tell these stories and I truly can’t wait for you to see what we have planned!”
— Vivienne Medrano
About Helluva Boss:
Set in Hell, Helluva Boss follows:
Blitzo (the “o” is silent) — a hell-born imp and the eccentric boss of I.M.P. (Immediate Murder Professionals).
His chaotic crew:
Moxxie — a cautious sharpshooter.
Millie — a fierce and passionate assassin.
Loona — their snarky, hellhound receptionist.
Using a magic grimoire — and managing Blitzo’s “situationship” with demon prince Stolas — the team runs an assassination business targeting humans, often balancing messy work lives with even messier personal drama. The series is known for its absurd humor, dark violence, musical numbers, and surprisingly heartfelt emotional arcs.
The Voice Cast Includes:
Brandon Rogers (Class Acts) as Blitzo
Richard Horvitz (Invader Zim) as Moxxie
Vivian Williams (Grey’s Anatomy) as Millie
Erica Lindbeck (ThunderCats Roar) as Loona
Bryce Pinkham (Mercy Street) as Stolas
Other featured voices:
Alex Brightman (Hazbin Hotel)
James Monroe Iglehart (SuperKitties)
Cristina Vee (Sailor Moon)
Georgie Leahy, Rochelle Diamante, and Morgana Ignis (Class Acts)
The Future of the Hellaverse:
With this deal, Prime Video now officially becomes the home for the broader Hellaverse, encompassing both Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss. This marks a major moment not only for fans but also for indie animation, as Vivienne Medrano and her team at Spindlehorse Toons continue to bridge independent online creations into major global platforms.
