Grimsburg Goes Undercover, Lois Dates Bonnie, and More FOX Summer Shenanigans!
My Image

This summer, Thursday nights are getting animated — literally. FOX’s iconic “Animation Domination” block is coming back on May 29, bringing a fresh batch of episodes from your favorite dysfunctional families, bizarre towns, and cosmic oddballs. Whether you’re craving burgers with the Belchers, solving mysteries with Flute, time-traveling with Stewie, or going fishing with Beef Tobin, FOX has something to make your week a lot weirder (and funnier).
Let’s break down what to expect from each show as FOX’s four-headed cartoon beast returns to dominate summer TV.

Bob’s Burgers — More Burgers, More Chaos
The Emmy-winning Bob’s Burgers continues to serve up sizzling comedy this summer, kicking off at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT. Expect classic Belcher family antics as:
Linda forces the family on a group walk (imagine the whining)
Tina, Gene, and Louise accidentally become snack smugglers at school
The Belchers hit the casino for a night that’s anything but lucky
And Linda digs into her grandfather’s past — and probably wishes she hadn’t.
Created by Loren Bouchard, the show remains one of FOX’s most reliable laugh-out-loud gems, with a voice cast and writing team that continues to nail the perfect blend of absurdity and heart.

Grimsburg — Twisted Cases & Twisted Cops
At 8:30 p.m., buckle up for the return of Grimsburg, starring Jon Hamm as the unpredictable detective Marvin Flute. This summer, Grimsburg gets even darker (and funnier), with episodes involving:
Male sex workers mysteriously turning up dead
Flute infiltrating the Preggo crime family (yep, you read that right)
And the precinct tackling their evidence locker like it’s spring cleaning — and triggering some wild flashbacks.
With its noir-meets-nonsense tone, Grimsburg is still relatively new to the scene but has quickly carved out its own offbeat space on FOX.

Family Guy — Still Pushing Buttons in Season 22
Sliding into the 9:00 p.m. slot, Family Guy refuses to slow down. This season promises more topical chaos and timeline mayhem:
Lois becomes a PTA book-banning crusader… and then goes on a date with Bonnie (wait, what?)
Meg joins a Mars mission training program (finally some character development!)
And Brian convinces Stewie to time-travel and bring back Mark Twain.
Still running strong after two decades, Family Guy continues to walk the line between edgy and outrageous — and clearly, there are no signs of it being tamed any time soon.

The Great North — Alaskan Absurdities Return
Closing out the night at 9:30 p.m., The Great North is back with more heartwarming, hilarious stories from the snowy town of Lone Moose. This summer’s adventures include:
Wolf frantically searching for Judy before they miss a fancy dinner date
Beef trying stunt fishing and testing his best-friendship with Walt
Honeybee and Wolf transforming the guest cabin
And the younger Tobins — Ham, Judy, and Moon — getting literal new perspectives on life.
Created by the team behind Bob’s Burgers, this underrated gem mixes quirky humor with deep family bonds and scenic Alaskan charm.

Summer Just Got Animated
FOX’s summer 2025 lineup is a mix of returning favorites and fresh premieres, but Thursday nights belong to the toons. Whether you’re here for the burger puns, crime-solving clichés, sci-fi hijinks, or outdoorsy shenanigans, “Animation Domination” is keeping things bold, bizarre, and binge-worthy.
So clear your Thursday nights — or your DVR — and get ready for summer with sass, satire, and a side of steak fries.
